Before you schedule it

The discount is the easy half. These are the steps that decide whether prices come back.

  1. 01Export the current price and compare-at price, with variant IDs, and store the file outside Shopify.
  2. 02Write the end time next to the timezone it is in. Most missed restores are timezone mistakes.
  3. 03Run the change on a few products first and check the storefront, cart and any sales channel.
  4. 04Name one person who is accountable for prices being back to normal, and give them a deadline.
  5. 05Decide in advance what happens if the job stops halfway: finish it, or roll back what changed.
  6. 06After it ends, spot-check a sample from every collection, including products that were excluded.
